National Labor Relations Board

The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) is a federal organization that exists to hold elections for individuals who represent labor unions, and also investigates any labor practices that are illegal or unfair to employees. The NLRB is an independent federal agency composed of a five-person board and a General Counsel, both appointed by the President and approved by the Senate. The primary function of this board is to work to keep relations between employers and employees as healthy and fair as possible.

The NLRB

The NLRB works to keep relations between unions and employers in the private sector peaceful and legal. The Board also works to protect employees’ right to organize unions and take legal action when necessary.

In addition, the Board also protects employers from being harmed by employees. This means that the Board can work to protect an employer from any illegal actions his or her employees take against him or her. By doing so, the Board works to protect both employers and employees from any illegal or wrongful actions in the workplace.
